Hearings on mass media activity and perfection
of its legislative base are to be held in Mazhilis of the
Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Astana, November 26. According to the press-service
of Mazhilis of the Parliament, committee of the Chamber on
social-cultural development formed a working group on preparation
and holding of parliamentary hearings on “Mass media activity and
perfection of its legislative base in the Republic of Kazakhstan”.
The head of the working group, Mazhilis deputy – Yerasyl
Abylkasymov, stated that the first session will be held as early as
next week, while the parliamentary hearings are to be held in
January 2003.
Besides parliamentarians the given group includes:
vice-minister of culture, information and public consent Ardak
Doszhan, president of the television and radio company “Channel 31”
Armanzhan Baytasov, chief of the department of politics of “Karavan”
newspaper Irina Galkina, chief editor of the newspaper “Nachnem s
ponedelnika” Ramazan Yesergepov, president of the republican
association of television and radio broadcasters Aydar Zhumabayev,
chief editor of the television agency “Khabar” Gulnar Iksanova,
president of the international foundation “Adil soz” Tamara
Kaleyeva, executive director of “Internews” Oleg Katsiyev, chief
editor of the newspaper “Epokha” Seydahmet Kuttykadam, chief editor
of the newspaper “Zhas Alash” Zhusupbek Korgasbek, president of the
Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan Seytkazy Matayev, head of the
analytical department and program “Portrait of the week” on “KTK
channel” Artur Platonov, president of the National trade union of
journalists of the Republic of Kazakhstan Madrid Ryspekov, personal
correspondent in Astana of the newspaper “Vremya” Irina
Sevostyanova, chief editor of the newspaper “Novoye pokoleniye” Oleg
Chervinskiy, general director of the LRP “Television of Astana city”
Irina Chernolovskaya, chief editor of the newspaper “Express K” Igor
Shahnovich and many other representatives of the public and mass
media.
The working group may recruit other specialists,
including media experts, in the course preparation to parliamentary
hearings.
