Constituent assembly on creation of National
Association of Television and Radio Broadcasters of Kazakhstan was
conducted
On December 16, 2000 constituent assembly on
creation of National Association of Television and Radio Broadcaster
of Kazakhstan was conducted in Almaty (NAT of Kazakhstan). Head of
the television and radio company “Channel 31” (Almaty) Armanzhan
Baitasov was elected as the President of the Association. Deputy
director of “Internews-Kazakhstan” Nurzhan Mukhamedzhanova was
elected as the Executive Director of the Association.
The founders of the association are as follows:
- Television and Radio Company “Channel 31”
(Almaty);
- Television Company “RIKA TV“ (Aktobe);
- “Baiwakov TVC-6” (Semipalatinsk);
- Public TV “Kogam” (Kyzyl-Orda);
- Television and Radio Company “Adan TV”
(Karaganda);
- Radio “Teks” (Karaganda);
- “Kalken TV” (Ust-Kamenogorsk);
- TV “Otyrar” (Shymkent);
- “Internews-Kazakhstan”.
The following companies became the members of the
Association:
- Radio “NS-Karaganda” (Karaganda);
- Television and Radio Company “Sana” (Rudnyi);
- Television and Radio Company “Labris”
(Ekibastuz);
- State TV “Accent” (Lisakovsk);
- Radio “RAUAN” (Lisakovsk).
Founders of the Association announce that the new
public organization is created to fight for favorable and equal
(first of all, legal and economic) conditions of development for all
participants of television and radio broadcasting market of
Kazakhstan.
The main goals of the Association are:
- hindering monopolization of television and radio
ether in the Republic;
- defending rights and interests of television and
radio companies, securing legal guarantees and coordinating their
activity;
- representing interests of its members in agencies
of state authority and management;
- developing and raising professional skill of
stations and studios, working in Kazakhstani ether.
- providing assistance to its members in their
business beginnings by means of search for reliable partners for
joint activity, informational, legal and representative
accompaniment and etc.
The New National Association was also created to
promote advancement of Kazakhstani broadcasters to technical and
technological level of the XXI century, assist in arrangement of
contacts with foreign colleagues, cooperate with similar
international associations.
Association is open for new members and hopes that
they will actively participate in solution of common problems and
assist in development of television and radio market in Kazakhstan.
