Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Languages”

Article 18. The Language of Mass Media

The Republic of Kazakhstan shall provide the functioning of the state and other languages in publications and the media.

In order to create the necessary language sphere and full functioning of state language, the time volume of TV- and radio programs, irrespective of their forms of property, broadcasted in the state language shall not be less then the total volume of programs broadcasted in other languages.
